Stash Share

#pileofabricstashshare week 10

I have wanted to participate in Pile O’ Fabric’s weekly Stash Share for a while now but never quite got organized to remember the color scheme for the week, to take pictures while I’m at home, and then post them. But they’re at week 10 of this fun activity, and it was time to get my butt in gear.

This is the inspiration image / color palette for the week:

Not colors I would typically put together – at least not with that burnt orange. But I was up for the challenge. Here is what I found in my stash:

#pileofabricstashshare week 10

I don’t think I’ve every shown my complete fabric stash – probably because it’s spread out in my craft room and some are stored in totes in the attic.  I have a lot of scraps from my mother-in-law’s quilting adventures (some of which you’ve seen for the step stool cover and the coasters).  I bought some fabric last winter when I thought I was going to have more time to sew – and thought I found a great deal at Hancock Fabrics.  The rest of my stash came from giveaways that I won.  That’s what the fabric you see above is all from.  I wasn’t sure if I needed to identify the fabric designers or lines they came from to add my stash to the #pileofabricstashshare.  Only my winnings are identifiable 🙂

From the top left, clockwise the fabrics came from these lines or bundles:

1. Michael Miller fabrics – Dumb Dot Robin’s Egg
2. Felicity Miller Fat Quarter Bundle of Charleston Farmhouse in Zinni
3. Quilt Diva fat quarters
4. Nordika by Jeni Baker

So, I really didn’t get a light pink in my stash picture, but I don’t think I have a lot of that – it would just be small scraps.

Now if the wonderful people at Pile O’ Fabric read this post, I have a suggestion for the next #pileofabricstashshare.  I need to make my daughter a bed covering of some kind for her “new” room (it’s not quite finished so I haven’t shown the big reveal yet).  I was thinking I’d have to go BUY some fabric that would coordinate with her curtains, but if we have a stash search for these colors, maybe it will inspire me to find some that already exists in my stash and thereby saving me some moolah!

Those colors are navy, bright pink / cranberry, aqua (or light teal), and an ugly almost chartreuse color with I’ve changed in her color scheme to be lime green.

OOPS!  I just went back and looked at some of the other Stash Shares.  Week 3 is awfully close to what I was asking for.  I guess I should enter that one 🙂
