I just released a new pattern! This one is free and you can download here.
We don’t often buy freeze pops because I know they are basically colored sugar water. However, on really hot days when you’re sick of just guzzling water these make a nice treat. Little Chick loves them and I’ve been known to sneak one or two.
The big problem in eating them is the ice freezes your hands while holding them. A few years ago I made a couple of freeze pop holders / cozies and they worked great! This year we couldn’t find them though, so I decided to remake them from my notes (with a few tweaks) and make the pattern available to everyone.
It’s a great scrap project since they only use approximately 15g of yarn or 30 – 35 yards. I like to use cotton because it soaks up the melting ice crystals on the outside – and because it is a nice texture in the summertime.

There are two different stitch patterns included in this easy, beginner project.
Let me know if you have any problems or questions!
What a good idea!
Thank you!
Hello 👋 this is a great pattern! I was wondering if I could make and sell these with a link back to your pattern?
You can absolutely sell the items you make from this pattern. Glad to hear you like it.
