And if one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him.
A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.
~ Ecclesiastes 4:12
Do you ever feel that God is talking to you through His Word? This was the “soul food” memorization verse from Week 1. At the end of the week, we attended our regular church and one of the bible readings for that day was Ecclesiastes 4:10-12. And just today, (in)courage put up a blog post titled An Encouragement to Daughters – which started off with this same verse. It takes a little while to get through my thick head, but I’m starting to pay attention. One of the first things I did was send a thank you note off to my BFF for being my friend all these years.

So … did I manage to make it through week 2? Yep. I managed to walk four times this past week for 29-33 minutes each time.

I even took the opportunity that I had access to a smartphone (I was on call for work) and snapped a couple of shots along one of my solo walks.

I kept my accountability buddies on track by jokingly reminding them when they were feeling stressed that they needed to recite our week 2 “soul food”:
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
~ Matthew 6:34
I’m a little concerned as to how this next week will go. Our daughter came down with a nasty cold mid-week and Papa and I succumbed this weekend. So I’m sniffly and coughing. Last year when this happened I was laid low for over 5 weeks before I felt better (this time I know better to go to the clinic sooner). I didn’t walk today which means I really should make sure to walk the next several days. We have plans for the weekend and I may not have time to get my exercises in by then.
