For not having exercised much at all the last several months, I did pretty well in the first week of the Living and Active challenge.
Accountability: I convinced a couple of friends to sign up for the challenge with me. One is a co-worker so she gets me moving at lunchtime, and the other will help keep me motivated on the weekends (and spiritually). This is also my weekly check-in post for additional accountability.
Spiritual: I struggled to memorize this verse last year, but I think I may have gotten it this year.

What I thought was funny … this verse was part of our church readings yesterday! We actually read Ecclesiastes 4:10-12, but isn’t it amazing how God sometimes keeps presenting the same verses to you over and over again?
Physical: I managed to get four days of exercise, with 29-37 minutes each time. Two days were walking with my co-worker at lunch. That always adds a nice break in the middle of the day. I’m going to miss it when the weather turns nasty (I refuse to say the word sn*w!). Friday I needed to get cash for the weekend and some butter, so I walked by myself to the local convenience store / gas station.
Saturday we had a wonderful day attending a local festival. I’ll post more about that later. We were there walking around for 3 hours. Most of it was slow walking, so that didn’t count towards my weekly goal. However, they have several walking trails, and we used one of them. I have no idea how long the trail was, but my Fitbit said I had at least 35 min of moderate intensity movement.
It was a beautiful cool day for a nice long walk, and who could resist such a view?

We’re about an hour away from this location which doesn’t make it very convenient. I told Papa I almost wish we lived closer. I’d be there all the time walking the trails!
