Accountability #2

In addition to Good Morning Girls, I’ve decided to try out another accountability group. One of my GMG group members actually pointed me to this. It’s called Peak313 Fitness. They are doing a 5 week challenge called Living and Active. Each week you are committing to at least 4 days of exercise and memorizing scripture.

The challenge actually started this week and the first check-in date is next Monday (Sept 17th). You don’t have to check-in or join an accountability group – unless you want to be considered for a prize at the end of the session (100% participation is required to be entered to win).

I’m still trying to determine an exercise plan.  I’m thinking I might do a combination of SparkPeople’s Spark Your Body Bootcamp workout and the SparkPeople 5K Your Way Walking Training.  I’m not going to be very strict about following either program – as long as I get in my 25 min per day, four days a week.  And I’ll try and mix things up quite a bit so as not to get bored.

I’ve printed off my memory verse and plan to post it on the bathroom mirror at home.  That way I’ll see it at least twice a day.

And as for the accountability, I’ve asked my GMG friend/co-leader if I can join her group.  She was a good mentor for keeping me accountable in my bible reading this summer, and I’m sure we can help each other in getting physically fit too!

Have you ever used an accountability partner or group?
