I often think we don’t do enough in our DIY and homesteading efforts. Sadly it’s usually after reading one of my favorite blogs where they have just made laundry soap / yogurt / dog biscuits / cheese / chicken stock from scratch. But in truth, we do quite a bit. Just take a look at this sample of just some of the homemade goodies we’ve tried this past year.
All of these delights were made from scratch in our kitchen in 2013! Some of them I’ve posted about – some are yet to be written up.
So today I am thankful – not just for the wonderful food that we eat (as the scale will testify), but that our current situation in life has afforded us the luxury of time and energy to try making food from scratch to better serve our nutritional needs. (Are donuts a nutritional need?!)
