Today I am grateful for these white roses that are gracing our table.
There is nothing really spectacular about them. In fact, the picture makes them look better than they are. They’re old, slightly limp and brown around the edges, and already starting to fall apart. What I’m grateful for is the fact that my little girl was still able to see the beauty in them. We picked them up at the store last night – they were discounted because they were starting to fade. There were several other flower bunches that looked nicer, but she wanted the white ones because they were boo-tee-ful.
